I just wanted to do a quick summary of this year’s CFCamp 2011 in Munich, Germany. This was truly a great 1 day event that was filled with great topics, great location and great networking. A big thank you to Michael Hnat and Contens for providing great facilities, and a great environment for this conference. I presented on how to create ColdFusion powered RESTful services, modeling them, documenting them and testing them using ColdBox Relax. We have posted our presentations and code demos here: http://blog.coldbox.org/post.cfm/cfcamp-2011-presentations

I am back from CFObjective 2011 and what a conference! It was truly and amazing conference and it was great to see so many friends and incredible topics.  I guess adding 100 more things to learn and code now.  I had the privilege of presenting on three topics:

I had lots of fun meeting with clients, attendees and speakers.  I can’t wait for CFObjective 2012 now!

Just a quick reminder that the ColdBox Training Registration before the CFObjective conference ends this Sunday.  So if you would like to get trained on ColdBox MVC or dependency injection, object design, messaging via WireBox, then this training is for you: http://coldbox-cfobjective.eventbrite.com/?discount=bestfriends

I will be doing several ColdBox trainings this quarter and wanted to point out our ColdBox 3 release training discounts we blogged about this week.  Use the code: viva3 and get over $300 worth of discounts for a limited time ONLY!

California Ontario/Los Angeles Training – April 27 to May 1, 2011

Pre-CFObjective Minneapolis Training – May 10-11, 2011

Houston, Texas Training – April 27 to May 1, 2011

Just a note that I will be attending CF.Objective once more this year and I would like to encourage you to attend this amazing conference.  This year it seems that it will be better than ever with such amazing speakers and sessions.  I would like to mention that we will also be holding 2 days of ColdFusion/ColdBox training before the conference just 4 miles from the conference hotel.

The cool thing about this training is that we will be doing two ColdBox courses.  CBOX100 which is an introductory course with multiple labs that will cover everything you need to know about ColdBox development and our newest course: CBOX202.  CBOX202 is an advanced course that deals with dependency injection and WireBox.  I am very excited about this course since I want to concentrate on the problems that DI solves, approaches to better object design, decoupling and cohesion.   So I am really excited to not only teach about WireBox, but also about the importance of dependency injection and good modeling skills.

So if you will be in the area or attending CF Objective, please consider our 2 days of intense but fantastic training.  We will also be giving discounts to the training to those of you who will be attending CF.Objective.  So if you are attending the conference, please send us an email to training@coldbox.org to get your entry discount!

Just a quick note that I will be at Adobe Max from Sunday onwards.  I am really excited to be able to participate in this year’s Max.  Last year I was only able to be there for one day, but this time I will be able to do the majority of the event.  Also, I will be presenting in the Unconference on MockBox, a new way to unit test with mocks!

Mocking and testing are dear to my heart, so I am very excited to be promoting testing and mocking practices.  So if you are  unit testing novice or guru, be sure to stop by.  This presentation will require your participation!

So if you will be at Max, hope to see you there!

Just a reminder that I will be doing a 3 day hands on training 3 days before Adobe Max here in Los Angeles, California.  This training is our kickoff 3.0.0 trainings and it promises to be awesome. So if you are in town and would like to attend our ColdBox training, then use this cool discount link.  Hurry up now as only a few seats are left.

Next week is CFUnited 2010 and I am super excited about it.  I have always enjoyed CFUnited and this year I am staying for the whole thing, so I am happy.  I will also be taking several books with me (ColdBox Books) that is.  So if you want to buy-win a hard copy ColdBox Definitive Guide, then look for me, ping me via twitter @lmajano or just shout at the conference.

Just a reminder that our registration for our ColdBox training closes in a few days and you don’t want to miss out. So here is a super duper discount code: superweek. Take advantage and register now, we will be covering the up and coming 3.0.0 release and some great goodies.
