Railo 2.0 and ColdBox!! A great Combo!!

Posted by Luis Majano

If you have not heard about Railo, then you should. It is an excellent CFML engine and best of all, the pricing on it is awesome. ColdBox is fully supported under the new Railo 2.0 and let me tell you, it FLIES!! Railo on itself is an incredibly fast CFML engine. You add ColdBox to the mix and you have a powerful combination. You can go here and find out more information about Railo & ColdBox.

ColdBox can also be converted into a Railo archive and all the new upcoming releases will include the framework in Railo Archive format. So if you haven't checked out Railo, then do, it is a great CFML alternative.

iDVD 08 not burning from external drive?? WT

I just spent like 2 hours trying to burn a simple DVD from the new iDVD '08 and it would always error out. I was trying from an external USB 2.0 hard drive that I have connected to my macbook pro. For the life of me I could not figure it out. It just error out saying that it could not encode the menu, which is the very first part. I was about to give up when I decided to move the project to my internal hard drive just to give it a crack. And loo and behold, the darn thing worked!! So there you go, thanks Apple for turning what was simple into buggy. I am not that quite happy with the new iDVD and iMOVIE. They are really buggy and the external hard drive support is much to be desired.

Eclipse Navigator View - Folders dissapear??Anybody??

I have been running through a very tedious problem, where all of a sudden when I refresh my navigator view on projects that are on network drives, they dissapear. I hit refresh, they appear and dissapear again. This behavior is constant and on several machines. Has anybody been affected by this?? I also turned auto refresh off and still same behavior. Sometimes I have to be restarting eclipse in order to get good behavior.

If anybody has gone through this and knows of a fix or a setting to help out, please comment.
